Invisalign

Our Hewitt, TX, team also offers SureSmile® aligners, allowing you to decide which aligners best suit your goals and budget.

We serve the Waco, TX, area, and we're happy to help you find a custom orthodontic solution. Learn more about Invisalign and SureSmile during a personal consultation.

Clear Aligners Worn Against Real Teeth

Both Invisalign and SureSmile aligners blend in easily with your teeth. Because our Waco-area dentists use digital impressions to ensure that your custom trays are as accurate as possible, they fit snugly around each tooth for the most discreet-looking refinement.

They're Discreet

Unlike braces, which have noticeable brackets and wires, aligners blend in easily with your natural teeth. This makes them great for teenagers wanting to fit in, as well as adults who want to look professional while straightening their teeth.

They Provide Options

The team at our Waco-area dental office proudly offers two different options for you to choose from: SureSmile and Invisalign. We'll guide you through the pros and cons of both during your initial consultation.

They're Removable

With aligners, you're typically supposed to wear your trays for around 22 hours per day. You can remove them to eat, as well as to clean them, giving you a break from time to time—a big difference from braces.

They Improve Your Diet

Clear aligners also give you the flexibility to eat what you want, unlike braces. Patients are welcome to enjoy steak, apples, and other delicious foods for a more diverse diet.

Central Texas Dental Care is my dental office of choice. I've seen the same hygienist for years and appreciate the care that she provides. The dentist and staff are amazing as well. I moved back in 2020, but continue to come back for my dental wellness.

What Are the Advantages of SureSmile? Find Out During a Consultation

Hewitt, TX, patients prefer SureSmile and Invisalign treatment over braces for a variety of reasons. Dentists and orthodontists alike also recognize that SureSmile aligners have their own clear advantages, like:

Lab Team Assistance

One of the most unique benefits of SureSmile aligners is the fact that the brand has its own Digital Lab. It's staffed by a team who will take a second look at your proposed aligner models and ensure that they're up to standard.

Laser Crafting

The makers of SureSmile are detail-oriented. In addition to approving designs, they also employ a high-tech laser to craft even more accurate custom-made clear aligners.

SureSmile Retainers

After you complete your SureSmile aligner treatment, you can trust the same brand to make your retainers. They're known for their strong material, and they're just as easy to wear as your aligners.

Braces are a thing of the past, thanks to progress in the field of orthodontics. To learn more about why our dentist prefers to use SureSmile aligners for stunning orthodontic results, contact our friendly Waco-area team. You can also ask questions by calling us at:

How to Tell If Aligners Are Right for You

Clear aligners are a great choice for patients with a broad spectrum of needs and goals, but there are a few important factors your dentist will check for before beginning your treatment. Good candidates for orthodontic aligners typically have these things in common:

Solid Oral Health to Start

A healthy smile is the best foundation for successful orthodontic care. If you're dealing with decayed or damaged teeth, gum disease, or another oral health issue, you'll need to have it addressed before beginning SureSmile or Invisalign treatment. Our dentists near Waco, TX, happily offer comprehensive restorative care to get you back on track.

Mild to Moderate Misalignment

Aligners are intended for mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. Patients with severely misaligned teeth or bite issues may need braces. However, there is an important exception—Invisalign attachments. When applied to the teeth, these small bumps of resin create a better "grip" with the aligner. The extra force makes treatment possible for some patients with more complex concerns.

Commitment to Seeing Results

You'll need to wear your aligners for at least 20 hours a day, preferably 22, to get the best results from your treatment. Your dentist will advise you to remove them only to eat, brush, and floss. Some patients find it difficult to commit to this schedule. If that sounds like you, we're ready to talk about alternative options that can meet your needs.

How Does Orthodontic Treatment Work?

Teenagers and adults can both benefit from orthodontic options at Central Texas Dental Care. You can expect your treatment plan to go something like this:

Dental Consultation

We'll welcome you to our Hewitt office for a dental consultation. During this time, we'll get to know you and your goals. We'll assess your candidacy, and if you're a good fit for orthodontics like SureSmile or Invisalign, we'll move on to the next steps.

Digital Impressions

Because Invisalign and SureSmile aligners use your exact dental impressions, we'll need to take some scans of your teeth. As parents who have once gone to the orthodontist will notice, our digital scanners produce results much more easily than the putty and molds of the past.

Aligner Creation

Depending on the type of aligners you choose, this step may go a little differently. For instance, with SureSmile, the lab takes the extra time to approve treatment plans before fabricating your personalized aligners.

Treatment

Whether you've chosen Invisalign treatment or SureSmile, wearing your aligners works pretty much the same. You'll need to wear them for about 22 hours a day, taking them out to eat or be cleaned. You'll also replace each set of aligners after a certain period of time. Even if you think you're done with an aligner, we recommend holding onto them until treatment is done in case you misplace one.

Orthodontic Checkups

Throughout the course of your clear aligner treatment, you'll return to our dental office for regular checkups. Our dentists will make sure that your SureSmile or Invisalign course is progressing well. Luckily, aligner checkups are much easier than braces, since we won't need to tighten any wires.

A Straighter Smile  Is One Call Away

The clear aligner treatment process is simple and easy. So is getting started! All you have to do is give our Waco-area office a call or send us an online message, tell us you're interested, and we'll book your one-on-one consultation right away.

We Offer More Than Aligners To Beautify Your Smile

Your orthodontic treatment may just be one step on your path to achieving your smile goals. If you're interested in taking your results even further, know that our Hewitt dentists perform all sorts of cosmetic dentistry treatments with specialized purposes. Professional teeth whitening and cosmetic dental bonding are two favorites among patients at the end of their clear aligner plans.

Our dentists can undo years of dental stains and noticeably brighten your smile in just one hour-long whitening appointment. We also offer pro-grade take-home kits so you can whiten on your own time. Either option may be the perfect touch for your newly aligned smile.

If you have small chips or cracks that detract from the look of your straight teeth, bonding can make a world of difference. During the procedure, your dentist will apply ultra-thin layers of tooth-colored resin to the treatment area, restoring shape, strength, and appearance.

Feel free to get in touch about these treatments or any of our other cosmetic dentistry options.

Wear Your Retainer To Preserve Your Results

/

At the end of your clear aligner treatment, your dentist will provide a retainer and instruct you to wear it like you did your aligners for several months. Though it may seem bothersome, wearing the retainer is key to ensuring your teeth do not shift back into their original positions. Over time, you'll be able to wear it less, but it's important to be diligent in the first months after treatment.
